In this fast-paced, hands-on session you will learn Design Thinking, also called Human Centred Design, as you use it to create your response to a fun design challenge given in the workshop. Design Thinking is used by industry leaders to create user-centered innovations, from the iPhone to clean water to dynamic art. It is a tool and process, but above all, it’s a mindset. It starts with empathy. Using your empathic skills to understand your audience or customer, you will move from awareness to inspiration to action as you design.

Human-Centred Design (HCD) is a creative approach to problem-solving that focuses on the people that designers are designing for, and that results in tailor-made solutions based on people’s needs. Participants in this workshop will learn the basics of HCD, which can help in an organisation, project or field. In this fun, fast-paced crash course you will do the HCD process which can then be applied to your own project.

All materials will be provided. This workshop is suitable for adults.
