Metal Workshop by Noura Al Serkal
Date Palms are an integral part of the identity and culture of the UAE. Through this workshop, participants will learn new ways of working with metal. They will be creating patterns and textures using palm trees as a tool and an inspiration for their final artwork. The workshop aims to expand the knowledge of jewellery making techniques in the region. Participants are invited to illustrate stories in new context by using date palms leaves and metal together to create a story. The participants will be introduced to roll printing as a form of creating texture on metal and learn the basics of working with metal.
